You Are Cordially Invited to the May 17th Lunch and Private Screening
of the New Film Based on C. S. Lewis’s Beloved Book

With a Special Presentation by Dr. Michael Ward

Chaplain of Peterhouse, University of Cambridge
Author of the widely acclaimed book,

Planet Narnia: The Seven Heavens in the Imagination of C.S. Lewis
(Oxford University Press, 2008)

C. S. Lewis’s timeless classic Prince Caspian (from The Chronicles of Narnia book series) vividly comes to life as Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy Pevensie are magically transported back from England to the world of Narnia, where a thrilling and perilous adventure and even greater test of their faith and courage await them. One year (1,300 years in Narnian time) after The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Narnia has been conquered and is now controlled by the tyrannical King Miraz. The four children meet the young Prince Caspian, who has been forced into hiding as his uncle Miraz plots to kill him. The Narnians, led by Peter and Caspian, embark on a remarkable journey to find the divine Aslan, rescue Narnia from Miraz’s tyranny, and restore liberty and justice to the land.

This special film screening program will also include a presentation by Dr. Michael Ward, Chaplain of Peterhouse at Cambridge University and author of the widely acclaimed book, Planet Narnia: The Seven Heavens in the Imagination of C.S. Lewis, plus a luncheon in Jillian's (in the Metreon) with Dr. Ward after the film screening. Dr. Ward’s book is revolutionizing interest in Lewis and the Narnia series by revealing a genuine and profound, but heretofore unknown, literary “hiddenness” secretly embedded in the books, providing proof of a stunning level of intricacy and sophistication by Lewis.

Directed by veteran director Andrew Adamson, with a screenplay by Adamson, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, this highly imaginative, epic film reunites the original cast and creative team behind the Academy Award-winning, blockbuster first film in the series, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
