Suzanne P. Cartmell

Suzanne P. Cartmell is a retired attorney and community volunteer. She received her law degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Hollins College, Roanoke, Virginia, where she was elected to join the Phil Beta Kappa society. After working in New York and then in Washington, D.C., as an Associate of the Shearman & Sterling and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius law firms, respectively, she moved with her husband Nathaniel Cartmell III to California.

At different periods Mrs. Cartmell has worked part time with the Morrison & Foerster law firm and volunteered in various capacities, including the vestry of St. Clement's, in schools and on school boards, while raising the couple's three sons. She currently volunteers as a writer coach with Writer Coach Connection in the Albany Middle School.
